Announcement on Whole Note’s Future

We are sad to announce that Whole Note Food Company has begun to wind down. We hope to find a buyer/partner/licensee/major investor for this proven line of excellent products (plus the Southern Biscuit and Texas Cornbread mixes that are ready for launch!). If none are found, however, the company will close down completely in a few months.

In a nutshell, we attempted to reach profitable scale in our business without adequate resources to do so. It simply takes significantly more capital and people—especially for sales and marketing—than we have had.

We are so grateful for the many friends, supporters, encouragers and customers that we have had the privilege to meet and serve. It pains us to know that we may have to let down all those who love and have come to rely on our products; we are truly sorry, if that is how things end up.

The good news is that all products will be available for a little while longer. Here are the details:

• Sales to distributors and grocery stores have been halted; products may still be found in some stores as they sell out their inventory.

• Most products will still be available on Amazon (amazon.com/wholenote) for a few months, although a few items are already sold out.

• All products are available now on our website and will continue until all inventory is sold. (A few will be in different packaging – stand-up pouches instead of the usual boxes.)
